The Sanwa PDR4000 is a digital Earth resistance tester designed for measurement within the CAT II 400V and CAT III 300V ratings.
This instrument is required for inspection and maintenance of electrical construction work. The PDR4000 has a safe design compliant with the IEC-61010 standards and is IP30 rated. This device has 3 measurement ranges, 40Ω, 400Ω, and 4000Ω, and can measure the Earth’s resistance with an accuracy of 2%.
This device has a 4000 counts digital display with a backlight. It has a Data Hold function that allows users to hold or pause a measurement on the screen. It also features the Relative function that stores the existing reading (a delta) and resets the display to zero. 3-pole / 2-pole earth resistance measurement can also be performed with the PDR4000 but an optional accessory, TL-68 is required for 2-pole measurement.
The device is also capable of measuring interference voltage, but if interference voltage is greater than 10 Volts the Earth resistance measurement cannot be performed. DC elements of the interference voltage cannot be detected with this device.
